Working with the calendar

 

In some masks and filters, the application offers a calendar field for entering or selecting a date. The calendar field consists of an area in which you can enter a date using the keyboard and of a button to open the calendar view.

The following figure shows an empty calendar field with input field and button:

Use the calendar as follows:

Use the keyboard to enter a date in the country-specific format into the input field:

e.g. DD.MM.YYYY for German GUI

e.g. DD-MM-YYYY for English GUI

Note:

The application tolerates deviating formats provided that an unambiguous date can be formed: If you, for example, enter 4,4.12, the application automatically sets the date to 2012-04-04.

Click the button.

A calendar page opens in which the way you can select a date is identical to that of a calendar.

The header area of the calendar page includes three buttons: two navigation buttons (arrow to the left and to the right) to page back and forth through the calendar and one middle button (preset with the year) to define the date range.

In the lower area you will find clickable date fields which correspond to the defined date range.

Below the date range you will find an area for entering the time for specific use cases such as, for example, creating SEPA instant credit transfers.



Which date is displayed when the calendar page is opened depends on whether the input field is already filled:

Filled input field: The month related to the entered date is displayed. The entered day is highlighted.

Empty input field: The month related to the date of the day is displayed. The current day is highlighted.

To enlarge the displayed date range, click on the year in the header. Instead of day and month, the calendar now displays the months of the year. The current month is highlighted.

Click on the year again. The displayed period is further enlarged. Instead of months and year, the years of the decade are now displayed.

With further clicks, you can enlarge the period even more.

To scale down, the date range click on the button in the lower date range.

If the field from which you call up the calendar is not restricted by the programme (for example, may not be older than 90 days etc.), the earliest selectable date is 01-01-1900 and the latest selectable date is 31-12-2100.

Date fields that cannot be edited are greyed out.

You can enter a time either directly into the input field or change the displayed time by means of the arrows on the right-hand side of the input field.
