You can change the EBICS transport keys and the EBICS signature key for EBICS bank accesses in the application. This key change updates the protocol user keys for signature, authentication and encryption for all initialised bank accesses in one step.
A key change is necessary if, for example, the recommended security guidelines for key lengths change and your used keys do not meet the security guidelines or you change the signature procedure at a bank access.
If your financial institution has provided new EBICS keys, the application will inform you of this on the start page.
If you have created bank accesses that are not yet fully initialised, these bank accesses are reset by the key change. You must restart the initialisation for each of these bank accesses.
You must not interrupt the key change, as the key for your security medium is also changed during this process. In the event of an error, you may no longer be able to log in to the application. |
1. |
On the start page the task Key length outdated is displayed. Click on Change keys. Alternatively, for example for changing the keys after changing the signature procedure, select Basic data and click on Change keys.... , tab |
2. |
The application guides you through the key change. Carefully read the information on the masks. Bank accesses may be displayed for which a key change is not possible because they are not fully initialised. |
3. |
Confirm the key change with your security medium. |
4. |
In the closing message the application informs you for which bank accesses the key change was successfully or unsuccessfully performed. In the event of an error, contact your advisor at the financial institution for whose bank access the key change was not successful. |
