Initialising the security medium

Explanation

To sign orders or transfer files, you must initialise a security medium via the application. The security media are defined for your user ID.

All security media types approved for you are displayed on the start mask of the initialisation wizard.

If you do not perform a first initialisation of your security medium, please note the following: When reinitialising a security medium, your already initialised bank access is reset – if configured accordingly by your financial institution. In this case, you not only have to reinitialise your security medium, but also your bank access. Section Resetting and reinitialising a bank access explains how to reinitialise your reset bank access.

The application accepts the following security media:

Smartcard

Provides an EBICS signature for bank-technical orders (not for French bank accesses)

Key file

Provides an EBICS signature for bank-technical orders (not for French bank accesses)

Certificate file

Used to sign file transfers (only a transport signature, not an EBICS signature) for non-French bank accesses

Security token

Provides an EBICS signature for bank-technical orders for French bank accesses

Signature app for mobile devices

Provides an EBICS signature for bank-technical orders (not for French bank accesses)

Additionally, the application supports security media that are provided by your financial institution. How to initialise these individual security media is not described here.

The following describes how you initialise the security media that are known to the application.
